Deep Learning Engineer
Type: Full-time
Location: Remote (US preferred), San Francisco, California
Salary: $120k – $200k, 0.1% – 0.5% Equity
We are seeking a talented Deep Learning Engineer to join our founding engineering team. As a Deep Learning Engineer, you will work closely with our CEO to build new features and products in the deep learning on mobile space. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about shipping code quickly and who care about the real-world impact of their code.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy deep learning models in computer vision products
- Work closely with the CEO to build new features and products
- Develop and maintain deep learning models for mobile applications
- Work with large datasets and optimize models for performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in deep learning
Requirements:
- 2-10 years of experience with deep learning
- 5+ years of deploying deep learning computer vision products
- A Ph.D. in a STEM field with a product-first approach
- Strong proficiency in Python and TensorFlow
- Experience with other deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Caffe, Keras)
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Candidates who have founded or worked at early-stage startups
- Experience with mobile application development
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Familiarity with computer vision techniques (e.g., object detection, segmentation, tracking)
